The Best Nurse Ever!
Thank you so much Nurse Wilson! It is appropriate that you are on this list during Nurse Appreciation Week and Teacher Appreciation week because you do both at Congress Year Round School. The kids know you as more than a lady with band-aids. You are a person who cares for them, who will stop in the hall and talk with them, give them a hug and yes, let them know that what they are doing could be better at that moment. You’ve taught them a wealth of information and knowing you, it will continue.
You are one in a million! Thank you. Ms. Jacob
The best teacher.
Thank you Ms. O’Laughlin for all you have done for my boys. You are patient, loving, caring. You care about your students whole heatedly. I couldn’t ask for a better teacher. We love you so much. You deserve an award.
A huge shout out to the School Engineers and Repair Division of MPS!!!!!! They are often forgotten when “thanks” are given to other MPS staff members. We need to have a week dedicated to them. This elite group of people are responsible for maintaining our buildings and grounds. Keep up the great work!
# 1 Hero!
Mr. Burgher, here’s a thanks to you for being the best teacher possible. You taught the whole class from right to wrong, and I really appreciate it. I love your funny stories you share, and you always know how to make a class period fun! Mr. Burgher, what I am trying to get across is that you’re the best teacher I’ve had all year. The words nice, funny, caring, and fun are the words that describes you. Thank you for all your support! You’re a real hero.
I’mma let everyone else finish what they gotta say—but Kibiwi is the best Calculus teacher of all time!
Ms. Schell - Best teacher ever
You are a wonderful teacher. We appreciate you.
Mr. Nichols,
I am so glad that King has you to brighten the day in the classroom. I love that you find hilarious ways to teach us the material and how to think on our own and prepare us so much for the IB exam. I am so glad that you are there you are a huge asset to the King community and King would not be the same without you! Thank you for always making the time and being there for us when we needed you!
Thanks to Ms. Walker (before she was married…can’t spell her new name) who was my son’s teacher at 65th Street. She fought hard to keep the school open. I want her to know that we are good, and still miss her. Thank you for teaching my boy to be a man…you would be proud.
Mr. Wagner,
The school wouldn’t be anything it is without you and though not everyone listens to your ideas because they don’t get it I am so glad that King has you! Everything you say and have taught me has had a huge impact upon all of us. Everyone loves going into Wagner World because it is the only place left that we are actual able to be ourselves and not have to deal with the politics that goes along with public schools. Thank you for preserving the IB environment and being an amazing teacher!
Mr. Long,
I am so grateful for the skills you taught us in your classroom. I used all of your notes and reviews for my first economic class in college and got an A. The professor was amazed I knew what things were which is a credit to you and the IB program! Even with all of the funding cuts and bigger classroom sizes. Thank you so much for everything you do!

Nurses dispense comfort, compassion, and caring without even a prescription.
Thank you for all the things you taught us so we can have great jobs when we get older. I will be so unhappy when I go to fourth grade.
